One vision, seven segments
The Peachtree Corridor is two miles longer than Manhattan. Spanning 14.5 miles from north to south, with another 2.35 miles as an east-west "circulator loop" downtown, the Corridor stretches through the heart of Atlanta. More than a quarter million people travel to the Corridor every day.
For planning purposes, the Peachtree Corridor is viewed as a major long-term project to develop a world-class boulevard for Atlanta. This project is organized into seven distinct segments:
Segment 1: Buckhead Commercial
Segment 2: Buckhead Residential
Segment 3: Brookwood
Segment 4: Midtown
Segments 5 & 6: Downtown and Circulator Loop
Segment 7: Southside Mixed Use
A project of this size and magnitude will take as long as two decades to complete. Thus, it must be approached in phases, which the Peachtree Corridor Partnership is currently developing.
